ANNUAL SPRING CONFERENCE
Each spring, the AATJ Annual Spring Conference is held over a full day in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the Association for Asian Studies (AAS), with more than 100 paper and panel presentations on literature, linguistics, SLA, and language pedagogy.
ANNUAL FALL CONFERENCE
In November, AATJ sponsors dozens of Japanese-focused presentations as part of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) Annual Convention and World Languages EXPO.
International Conference on Japanese Language Education
The Global Network for Japanese Language Education (Global Network) hosts the International Conference on Japanese Language Education every two years. In 2026, the ICJLE will be held in Taiwan, November 20 – 22.
