Global Network for Japanese Language Education
The Global Network for Japanese Language Education (GN) is composed of member organizations—including academies, research groups, and teachers’ associations—from 12 countries and regions around the world: Indonesia, Canada, South Korea, Australia, Japan, Singapore, the United States, Taiwan, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, and Europe.
One of GN’s most significant undertakings is hosting the International Conference on Japanese Language Education (ICJLE). ICJLE is the largest global conference in the field of Japanese language education and is typically held every two years.
Each year, more than 1,000 Japanese language educators from around the world gather for keynote lectures, symposiums, and over 300 presentations. The conference also serves as an important venue for stakeholders to engage in cross‑national, cross‑linguistic, and cross‑cultural exchange through Japanese language education.
