Job Description: The Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at the University of Florida, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure-accruing position at the rank of Instructional Assistant Professor, beginning August 16, 2025. Applicants will have an M.A. in Japanese, Japanese Language Pedagogy, Japanese Linguistics, or related field, or applicants will complete the MA by August 15, 2025. The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, and the compensation includes a full benefits package. Language Instructor/Teaching Assistant in Japanese

Position Description The Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations at Harvard University anticipates one or more possible openings for a full-time Language Instructor/Teaching Assistant in Japanese expected to begin August 1, 2025 and to extend through June 30, 2026. Language instructors (formerly Drill Instructors) teach small-group sections in Japanese language classes under the supervision of a course head and assist the course head in preparing class materials, grading, and providing individual assistance to students. Preceptor in Japanese

Position Description The Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations at Harvard University seeks applications for a full-time Preceptor in Japanese. The appointment is expected to begin on July 1, 2025. The preceptor will be responsible for acting as instructor in charge of one of the levels of Japanese taught at Harvard, between elementary and advanced (fifth year level), and for training and supervising instructors in the Japanese program. This is a term appointment of three years, renewable for a term of up to five years (eight years in total), contingent on performance, enrollments, curricular need, position availability, and divisional dean authorization. The initial term is 3 years and the position is renewable upon successful review. This is a 10-month annual tenure track appointment. Position Summary: The Foreign Language department is seeking a Japanese adjunct professor to substitute and/or teach Elementary and Intermediate level Japanese language courses in the evening on Zoom or in person. JCCC is located in Overland Park, KS, the second largest city in the state of Kansas and part of the greater Kansas City Metro. The Kansas City Metro is known for its museums, restaurants, and music and art scenes. JCCC is similarly dedicated to creating and maintaining a rich cultural community, with an award-winning contemporary art museum and center for the performing arts located on campus.
