Position Description The Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures at Washington & Lee University invites applications for a renewable position, depending on qualifications and experience, as Instructor in Japanese to begin July 2025. This position carries a 6-course teaching load distributed over Fall and Winter terms (12 weeks each), and the university’s signature 4-week Spring Term. Adjunct Instructor Japanese Language

Position URL http://apply.interfolio.com/164234 Position Description Franklin & Marshall College invites applications for an adjunct position in the Department of German, Russian and East Asian Languages to teach two courses in fall 2025 and one course in spring 2026. The fall courses will be Japanese 101 (Elementary Japanese I) and Japanese 201 (Intermediate Japanese I). The spring course will be Japanese 102 (Elementary Japanese II). The fall courses will be taught beginning Monday, August 25, 2025 and ending on December 14, 2025. The Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in Japanese, beginning in the fall semester of 2025, for an initial one-year term with the possibility of renewal for a second year, contingent on department needs and an evaluation of teaching effectiveness. A Ph.D. is expected prior to or shortly after date of hire, and native or near-native command of both Japanese and English is required. The applicant’s area of research specialization is open. One-Year Visiting Position in Japanese language

Applications are invited for a one-year visiting position in Japanese language for 2025-26, with teaching to begin in September 2025 and the possibility of renewal for 2026-2027. Depending on the candidate’s qualifications, the appointment will be made at the level of either a visiting lecturer or a visiting assistant professor. The teaching load will consist of two language courses in Fall 2025 and two in Spring 2026.Depending on the staffing needs, the position will also teach a three-week Winter Study sustaining course for Japanese 101 students in January 2026 with additional compensation.
