The Japanese Language Program (JLP) in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at Columbia University invites applications for a position at the rank of Lecturer in Japanese.
Primary responsibilities include teaching two to three courses in Japanese language each semester in consultation with the JLP Director and department administration. Administrative duties include curriculum development (both individual and collaborative) and assisting with the design and execution of program events.
Native or near-native fluency in Japanese and an MA degree in Language Instruction, Teaching, Pedagogy or related required. Salary range is $70,000-$77,250 per year. The position is full-time with multiyear renewal contingent on successful review.
