Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) is seeking a dynamic Math and Japanese teacher for a full-time 3rd and 4th Grade position at Foreign Language Immersion and Cultural Studies School (F.L.I.C.S.). This position is available immediately.
F.L.I.C.S. is a unique school that focuses on second language acquisition and culture from Kindergarten through Eighth Grade and has four languages: French, Spanish, Mandarin, and Japanese. F.L.I.C.S. is truly one of a kind and it routinely graduates scholars who have Intermediate proficiency-level language and cultures skills.
DPSCD follows a proficiency-driven World Language model and the DPSCD Office of World Languages provides monthly professional development and PLCs, curriculum support, abundant resources, coaching, and access to state and regional World Language conferences.
