Position Description
Franklin & Marshall College invites applications for an adjunct position in the Department of German, Russian and East Asian Languages to teach two courses in fall 2025 and one course in spring 2026. The fall courses will be Japanese 101 (Elementary Japanese I) and Japanese 201 (Intermediate Japanese I). The spring course will be Japanese 102 (Elementary Japanese II). The fall courses will be taught beginning Monday, August 25, 2025 and ending on December 14, 2025. The spring course will be taught beginning Tuesday, January 13, 2026, with the employment period extending for two weeks following the completion of the spring 2026 semester on May 2, 2026.Each course will meet in person three times a week for 50 minutes. The rank will be Adjunct Assistant Professor or Adjunct Instructor, depending on qualifications, and the salary is $7000 per course.

Qualifications
Applicants should possess at minimum an M.A. in Japanese language/literature/pedagogy, or a related field. Teaching experience preferred
